Pre-move

As briefly noted in my previous post, Calgary is crisp. In effort to dismiss discomfort and icy roads I try to stick to my studio space as much as possible. There's lots to do considering it could be but a matter of days until I've relocated to BC. I try my best to stay on top of the packing and treat it like its not a distraction. As I pack up my studio I feel pieces of myself go with it. I feel torn between spaces as my schedule clears of fabrics and patterns and all that helps sustain a bright and cheery attitude.

Today we've had a nice and gracious rise into the early teens of minuses. I watched the thermostat rise from -18 to -12 from 7 am to noon.

This morning was exciting as it was the morning of my long planned shoot with Jen Freedman. I've been sewing like a mad man over the past 3 months, and stashing all my favorite fashions for my favorite photographers. We finished our session ahead of time as Jen is a pro & she makes everything easy breezy. New photos can be expected showcasing more lingerie, jackets, pants, pants, pants, even a dress, and did I mention pants? This set is dreamy as Jen always takes the lead on attaining the most amazing locations for shooting.

Tomorrows brings about another fashion-focused shoot showcasing MORE of my newest product. I'm excited to be working with the amazing Glam & Beyond again before my departure. Monika of Glam and Beyond is so talented as a hair stylist & makeup artist. It feels good to wrap up my time here in Calgary this way. I'll be finishing up some of my final art classes this coming week as well. My goal is that by this coming Friday I will have a confirmed date in the calendar of when I will leave for BC. With packing almost done and finished with I wonder how long I will be able to "stay chill". Technically there is lots of time for relaxing and recharging but I feel that may not be what I need right now. I feel very heavily motivated and ready to gather & act on resources from my former place of residence. Its an exciting time and I can feel the changes hitting me very quickly.

I'm already feeling very excited about my pre-gathered resources. I didn't gather resources before moving here to Calgary last year. I think that doing this can be very beneficial and can help me gain a lead on resources before my arrival in the city.

In excitement and antisipation for my time back in Kelowna I am posting photos below from my previous time in Kelowna. All credits to Conor Teahen (who I look forward to checking in with!)
