Spring.
By the time it rolls around every year I've already forgotten its previous years beauty. The days are short, but the compile of so many (365) can sometimes clog the memory. This spring my goal is to capture. To freeze the season in a hard copy portfolio. To capture the most beautiful elements of spring in a place where I greatly enjoy living. To explore what scenic views remain here for me to discover.
My photographer friend Chris Velasco shared this hidden gem of a location with me.
It was serene there. There was a stream just beyond you could here trickling over rocks. The sunlight flaired through the trees whereever it could.
We photographed and hiked for several hours.
Okanagan in the summer can be different for artistic projects. Often I find, many of the people that live here year round earn their profit in the summer, so these months are crutial for earning and artistic projects must temporarily be put to the side. Honestly, thats mostly what I find.

To some extent, the above can even be said about myself. It's a choice really. There will always be opportunities for life to get in the way of what you love. "I've got too much work", "I'm too busy". "I'm backed up for weeks, I need to reschedule".
Realistically, we all just need to keep doing what we love anyway.
