The trick to optimism

I went to bed with the most fabulous feeling of gratitude, and woke with a feeling of great resemblance. In a world where it seems like all that is requested from me is fear, and anguish, I refuse to conform. Instead of feeling terrified by the headlines and what is to come based on what the news feeds, I have created a stratedgy to view the world from a more positive regard. For starters, about a year ago I found a video on youtube that really helped me to see my life from a completely new and fabulous perspective. I have shared it below in case you wish to listen/learn :)
In addition to the above video I was able to have my mind blown this morning by another video that is really nothing short of amazing. It is so awesome to see and recognise what the smallest action of kindness can do:
Although it may seem like there is so much negative surrounding us, I believe it is all just a matter of perspective. We see what we want to see. If I want to see something else I have the freedom to do that at anytime. Whether or not I have the strength or commitment to be dedicated to that viewpoint, or stand by it, even when I feel swayed, is also up to me.
It may seem like the easier option to be fearful, or retract into a powerless society, but long term, this thought pattern will cause nothing but harm. I do believe that most of the time what is worth having is worth fighting for., Including our very thought processes and habits.
