The light that beckons

Short and sweet before bed, a preview of a shot from a test shoot that Conor Teahen and I teamed up on a few weeks back.

This month has been crazy for collaborations. I've got line ups all throughout November for makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, and models, all ready and excited along with me to produce beautiful presentations of my upcoming line. HOWEVER, it is SO nice to be able to relax and just test the waters, like I used to. Its important to remember where I started in the industry, what motivated me to begin, and what pushed my initial creative insentive in the modeling industry. I think its so important to remember where I came from. Without that insentive, the present looses a lot of its value.

I was so happy to arrange a simple, "just because" or "test" shoot where I knew the results would be spectactular, but it was not necessary to spend weeks prior planning and coordinating. Don't missunderstand me, I love coordinating. I'd like to think I'm getting better at it with every project that surfaces. I think though, on an equal level, I am full of gratitude for the less-planned session, where I feel I have the time and freedom to test new waters, try new poses, find new locations, and prepare for the more ellaborate projects to come.

Please note: In upcoming photos, I plan to impose props that symbolize my strong belief in antiviolence! Horray! If any of my creative friends find this of interest or want to be involved just let me know! Some of these examples of antiviolence props may include: Floral swords, as well as metaphoric symbols of love and freedom. I feel it is important to advocate my anti-violence strategy starting RIGHT NOW. Although it appears that violence is virtually everywhere, I can garantee you won't find it here!
