Behind The Scenes of Shooting the "Michelle" |<3

My heart was full last sunday as my long awaited project came to reality. 5 fabulous girls gathered to bring their creativities and talents together to create an awesome and fabulous concept. Michelle and I had shared a conversation or two a few months prior as I had just began my line. She invited me to be part of an event where two of my pieces were showcased. Whilst coordinating said event I felt very inspired by her, and presented to her the idea of creating a dress in her honor, and requested that she model it for me. She accepted on the spot, and gave me her color palet as something for me to build on. We decided instantaniously on purple and black, a mix I saw as both bold and fierce. I loved the idea of bright and dark colors combined. (The beginning of my line had been quite bright, and of fewer color tones, mostly greens.) About a month later, we all gathered in my basement to get the look together!

Shelbi-lynn and I have worked together on a few projects now. She is so fabulous. I love having her on board for any projects she is available to attend. Her energy is amazing, and she inspires and fuels me energetically just with her pressence. Thank you Shebli-lynn at LuminousBlue makeup for always being so on key! You are very appreciated!

Without even requiring a fitting, Michelle slipped into the dress as if it was made for her (which it was )..... Even I could not have antisipated it would fit so well. Even with the setback of the wintery and somewhat rainy weather, Michelle was a brave muse, and handled the weather like a champ. Full of poses, and completely and fabulously open to feedback, I snuck a peak on Jessica Hoc's (Lichon Photography) camera a few times and was nothing short of speechless. I don't know how Jessica does what she does, but I am so grateful for her one-of-a-kind talent.

Amanda Newton spent a few hours in the early AM doing immaculate braids in Michelles hair, and then caught up with us closer to shoot time to insert bold blue and purple coloring into Michelles hair to finish off the look. I topped the gorgeous hairdo off with a tiarra of leaving, which matched the dress. Amanda was also a huge help with the reflector, as Jess trolloped around bushes and shrubs, aiming for the perfect hair and makeup showcase shots. I held the accessories and uttered words of encouragement to my brave and fabulous team. <3 Thank you Amanda, for creating a beautiful masterpiece on top of Michelles head!

I am beyond excited to see what prize winning photos Jessica will edit and release closer to December/January. I understand that the antisipation, and build up of excitment over time is all part of glory of seeing the finished product. Thank you Jess, so much, for your involvement.

In the meanwhile, I got a little spacey with a few behind the scenes photos ! Michelle is very informed in the subject of astrology, and our connection. We had a few fabulous conversations about it that made me want to take the extra time and steps to educate myself more. I love hearing and learning about it, and love the insightfulness of all my friends that dare to share the subject with me.

Towards the end of the shoot was some much needed creative chatter, a bit of which inspired some of my most favorite photos from this session. They were shot inside, and took a great deal of teamwork and giggles. Oh, and special thanks to Jess for wearing the ski jacket with the naked lady on it. I didn't even notice it until about an hour into shoot time. #sofunny.

So much love and gratitude <3
