Scoring Down Time

I've been extremely blessed to be able to spend a few days with some family in Kamloops. It's been a while since I've been there. I was able to spend some really special moments with inconversation, and observation. I was also able to reconnect with a special friend from way back in the years of gymnastics. It was so nice to be able to go somewhere and see that its barely changed. It almost felt timeless there. The roads, streetnames, and coffeeshops all the same. Maybe it hasn't been so long, but in my mind it feels like lifetimes since I'd been there. I was beyond excited to know there was a fabricland 3 minutes away from my Grandpas house. I was able to find a 3 toned christmas inspired color scheme that could be the start to a fabulous winter designed dress.

I'm not sure where this piece will be completed. I antisipate for it to be shot in the snow. I envision a beautiful mountain of fresh snow winterizing the photo.

I've been focusing more on poswork and lighting, in the midst of my bigger and more coordinated projects. It has been awesome to be able to experiment and find what works, and where. I will be starting a few newer projects in Calgary, but my posing/lighting test shoots will continue on as well. I believe its always good to remain in a state of practice.

I am looking forward to a new series coming through within the new week. I will be adding some new shots of some gorgeous models to my clothing line page. It was amazing to be able to shoot with Josi, after a long planned out date. The location could not have been more perfect. The waterfall in the background was both frozen and flowing. There were crystals hanging from the moss. Josi looked like tinkerbell. I am so excited to share photos.

I was given a very special gift over the weekend. The reason I had traveled to Kamloops initially was because my Grandma recently passed, and I wanted to attend the funeral. It was beautiful to see my Aunt put in such an extraordinary effort to make everything perfect for the ceremony.... From flowers, to a very well written obituary. My grandpa wanted me to have her (my grandmas) sewing machine. I was honored to receive it. I always felt comfortable speaking creatively with my grandma. She was one who perhaps understood me best in that section. I am excited to have this amazing tool to learn to work and build with. The opportunities are infinite here.
