Started the day off with a quick photo exchange with Conor Teahen. We used to balance our photoshoot vs. coffeeshop idea compilations equally, but lately its been alllll photoshoot. It was fabulous to have a moment just to reflect, and enjoy the last few projects we had worked on and finished. What a year we've creatively jogged through. We consistantly worked together, improving project by project, adding new ideas and insights with every shoot. Among the photos I received back from him were those that we shot last weekend, Sunday I believe.

This shoot was planned around Josi. I had intitually thought that we would do a solo shoot just of her. As time progressed and we got closer to date, the idea was tossed around of another model partisipating, myself also. The three of us, and Conor, made our way out to one of the provincial parks along the greenway, to one of the most beatiful locations I have experienced in Kelowna, maybe ever. Josi, who I did not know had a former history in ballet, seriously nailed it. Toes on point in the freezing cold. Everyone was so brave in the -4. Looking at them now, it really looks like something preformed with green screens. It makes me so happy to understand these magical places do exist, if we can search outside of ourselves enough to find them.

Brooklyn Kostiuk also partisipated in the shoot, in the Carmen. She looked absolutely stunning. I am excited to watch her modeling career progress. I would have loved to have done more projects with her before leaving town.... But I have to save some of the excitement for when I return as well.

I will only be shooting a few more pieces before the move to Calgary. I am so happy that I felt inspired to do so many pieces before the new year, because I am sure that the new year and move will give my line a new twist. I'm sure this will be a great asset, but it is nice to have a pre existing collection to support the remaining pieces to come.

Thanks girls, for modeling the dresses for me. As much as I'd love to continue shooting at fullspeed, outdoor locations can be a challenge as the weather drops below zero. This shoot is among one of my last outdoor projects this winter, in the Okanagan. What a fabulous way to end the season.
