Behind The scenes of "The Lexy"

Yesterday, a brilliant team of talented individuals gathered to put together "The Lexy". I had no intention of making this dress so quickly, or that it would be able to be shot before my move to Calgary. I started the piece with Lexy in mind early November, and was approached by a well known model in penticton who was looking for a stylist for an upcoming project of her own. I decided that she could "test" The Lexy for me, as she had some intricit lighting concepts that would vary the dress from its original look. She also tested the fit for me. The length turned out perfect for both her, and Lexy, who it was originally intended for.

We started off with hair and makeup at Lexy's place. Randi Toth (makeup) went very intense on the jawline, as requested, and created a really strong and elegant look for Lexy. For hair, I played off of two frenchbraids, parted in the middle but then brought together at the back. I covered the bread in a layered beading to give it a touch of elegance, which would pull from the dress.

After hair and makeup were completed, the three of us headed to the float space, where Michelle coordinated our time and space available. It was perfect, and beautiful. Michelle brought along many props and objects to coinside with our planned theme. Her assistant Tessa and herself had a beautiful space ready for us to start in upon arrival.

Everything was so well prepared, and perfect, that we had time for Lexy to also model a fresh piece of mine called Holly. The Holly was another suprise. The first piece of my winter inspired segment of the collection. I will probably only do 2 or 3 of those. It fit her perfectly and I can't wait to see the finished photos.
