New Year Update

Happy New Year :) It's amazing to be 04 days in already. I'm still planning my official new years party. I didn't have time for it last week when it was here. It doesn't have to like a real party. People don't have to come and there will be no obligation to stay up into the new day. Really what I want to do is dedicate a few hours to reflection of the year that past, as well as a revised list of expectations of life coming into the new year. I have an amazing memory of new years 2 years ago when I lived in the mission. I my roommate and I lit some candles in the apartment and chatted in the livingroom for hours. It was so fullfilling to be able to have a gratitude based reflection of the changes of the past year. It felt so good to be able to see how far we had both come in the past year... It inspired us both to make our goals for the year ahead larger.

I have to apologise for not writing for several days on end. The bugs are still being worked out in my new schedule. I have switched from my early mornings and early nights. I am now doing late nights and somewhat early mornings. Its unfamiliar to me. I find that somehow I still seem to be too early for the world around me. I think its true that some people sustain more balance on less sleep. Maybe it works.

Coming into the new year I decided I wanted to create photo sets of the pieces of Floral Frippery which were made and modelled in 2015. Its been amazing to be able to create and showcase these pieces. I have loved the stylizing side of things and have find alot of inspiration there. As I put away the cardboard boxes and sort all of my previous designs into their place in my new creative space, I am again filled with inspiration and excitment. I've travelled to a brand new space and it has unlocked new creative concept in my mind.

As the days pass, the right people come to me, and I approach the right people. Quickly, a large team is being constructed, and I look forward to a year filled with projects which will force me to step outside the box and reallythink as broad and wide as possible. It's exciting to receive messages from fellow creators. Its fabulous to be approached and thought of for projects and visions. I feel like I've just dipped my hands in the sand of Calgarys creative beach. It has been SO awesome to be approached and also to find so much opportunity so suddenly. I came prepared to dig, and reach to the corners of Calgary finding what ever creative juices flowed. It seems like there is a world of creativity here much larger than what I thought existed.
