January Wind Down

In the midst of all planning, and scheduling, it has been good to be made aware of the endless possibilities that surround me. This week has unlocked many new sources of inspiration to me. New pieces have been made, new dresses in the midst of being created, and new project ideas come to mind. While theses new ideas and pieces come to life, I have realized and visualized more clearly the potential of my future. With so many passions and interests, I often find it difficult to point myself towards one particular project. One of my favorite types of project is a large project, composed of smaller projects. The reason I like this kind of project is because it amounts to something very large, but it comes from small consistancies. The contineous completion of projects creates a habit of constant delivery, but prevents the overwhelming feeling of talking on a project that feels too big.

I can't explain the fabulous feeling of consistancy in projects and creative work here. My expectations have been exceeded. I am so inspired by the community of creators around me. I have met photographers and artists with insights and ideas that are beyond me. I am so fortunate to be able to be part of their visions and expand my portfolio in that way.

I am ecstatic to announce that I will be figure modelling on March 01/ 2016 at Swintons Art. I haven't done figure modelling since I left Kelowna. I had an amazing experience modelling at UBCO for their art figure classes. I posed for classes with fewer students as well as classes with over 10 students. In the larger class, the students painted me from their perspective, whereever they were sitting. At the end of the class there was a full circle of paintings of me each from a different artist and different perspective. It was amazing to look at the paintings and have an idea of the very many different perspectives of the world around me. From my experience, once you've met an individual involved in the art model society, you tend to meet more. I'm excited to see what comes of my first Calgary figure session.

Its crazy to think it will only be a few more days until Arizona. We leave in 8 days, I've started packing already as I know my time before the trip is busy and full. I've set aside everything I have that stands above the knees, and has a summer feel to it.
