When I'm not inspired

Yesterday I think I realized inspiration might be more than just a state. Although I did not have any moments throughout the day where I lit up and felt fabulous about an idea that recently came to mind (which is what I think I refer to as inspiration), I was still able to produce what was needed in order for the business day to be successful. Coffee dates and meetings were set up, dates for shoots confirmed, photos released.

Sometimes when I feel like I don't know where to start with my writings I look back on past posts. I know that I didn't feel inspired on all those days, but looking back on the writings I wouldnt be able to tell. I can use writings from days I felt uninspired as inspiration. I can see now that inspiration is more than a state, its a mindset and a way of thinking.

Keeping up with the times, today I'm off to a shoot with Andre Goulet. I am very excited for the oportunity to work with someone who has such a dynamic portfolio, and also someone who is so easy to plan with. I always have dates open in my calendar, for the photographers that have no problem confirming dates.

The shoot style was tomboy. It was great to finally be able to shoot this style. I helf off on it for a really long time because I wanted to find someone who would do the look justice. We finished the session with some levitation work. I am sending work out that I am heavily focused on levitation or creative editing technics at this point in time. I believe there is so much room for expansion beyond how the photos are first taken. Sometimes this type of editing isn't practical or required, but I'm working to use it whenever I can.

Tomorrow I am scheduled for a creative project with a friend who was brave enough to travel to kelowna when I lived there. Now the tables have turned, who would have thought? Its fabulous to have a second chance to work with some names I had no idea I would be collecting for my portfolio all over again . It reminds me to keep my schedule and mind open and clear at all times.
