A note on communication

As my list of friends is quickly growing, and I meet more and more blossoming photographers, I am inspired to know of the vast selection of projects and ideas being tossed around and shot at this very moment in time.
Throughout my communicating and planning so far all interactions have been fabulous and pleasant. I know though that for a whole group of friends who are brand new, it is only fair to share with you a few of my personal communication sensitivities:
1) If we are conversing/communicating via facebook message, email, or instagram, please do not respond to me using the words "yup" or "yep". I work hard on my professionalism via communication. When I receive a response of one-worded, grammatically incorrect nature, I have no choice but to assume said person on the other end of the computer doesn't care as much about what they are doing or saying. Call me hypersensitive. I put a lot of time and effort into what I do, and with my whole heart believe I deserve full words.
2) facebook (for me) is not a place for small talk. Every day I can be found responding to photoshoot line ups and confirming dates. I have had a few times in the last month when I've felt like I'm bantering on about I'm not sure quite what, in attempts to better get to know the photographer on the other end. I have a simple solution to save this time, and better solve the communication issue: Coffee. All throughout my first month in Calgary I met any photographers of interest for coffee preshoot, where we chatted endlessly, and had no communication issues whatsoever. I may want to resort back to this more, as I found it quite enjoyable to have that one-on-one preshoot time just to find out what the expectations of everyone involved are, and also just to feel out the vibes of the interaction. All my shoots are centered around comfort. No comfort, no shoot.
3) I am open to your concepts and ideas. As an artist, I do have a book and mind full of concepts and ideas and plans for execution, but one of my favorite parts of being approached by contributing creators is being able to hear and be part of their visions. One of my favorite things about the creative world I've created for myself is that it allows me to come completely out of any surpressed or non-expressive states. When I team up with fellow artists, I want them to feel this feeling of creative freedom with me.
So going forth: I love being approached, I love all creative insentive, and love to hear what fuels you. I love coffee, and I love adding new names to my evre-growing team. I also love full words:) Lets do a project together. Lets pour our creative juices into the same cup and create something fabulous.
