A couple posts now have had content referring to preplanning techniques and theories. I've been racking my mind to find new solutions on how I can create a better idea of what I am looking for and want to bring to life in a photograph. One idea I have for this is a pre-shoot storyboard. A photographer friend of mine from last year sent me sketched out storyboards. I loved the idea of this, and would love to do this myself but am not sure about how clear my sketches would be percieved by others involved. Because of my second thoughts towards the idea of sketching, I thought a pre-made photo inspired storyboard might do the trick.

As I book in more and newer concepts and ideas, I want to know that I am bringing everything that I can to the creative table. It is one thing t be able to mark and book dates into my calendar, but if the style of the shoot is incomplete, it will not do my portfolio the justice it deserves. Whether it be a physical board, or a folder of all the details including hair/makeup styles, wardrobe, pose concepts, and location ideas. I am so attracted to the idea of a series of photos that flow. I love the idea of being able to coordinate an idea so effeciently that it doens't look like an idea anymore - it looks real.

Day 1 of Arizona started with a morning on the golf course, and an afternoon of exploring the amazing resort which is the Westin, and time by the pool. I'm convinced the sun is the best medicine available to man-kind. Before we got here, I felt the winter blues upon me. What seemed like an infinite winter is now the farthest thing from my mind, as I sit and stare out onto beautiful golf greens and blue skies.

I've had some really exciting thoughts and ideas for concepts, which have definitely been sparked by this paradise of a place. I feel very stimulated and inspired here. Everything around me has an ellaborate color and vibrance. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my craft room though. In retrospect I've felt a little bit wasteful, looking back and seeing this fabulous extra space available, I've developed a greater insentive to do more and make more of the space.

I have so much gratitude towards Arizona, as I've feeling a deep fueling inside me already, and I'm only halfway through vacation time.
