Collection & Activity Update

April has been a month of amazing events and activities I never saw coming. I headed into the month with a specific goal of making a dent on my new collection, but creating & building 10 different outfits/pieces. I am always amazed to see how fluid creativity is. The more I do the more I want to. The more I build, the faster the ideas come to me. The more I visualize, the more I seek to build. I am influenced by fabrics and patterns and colors. I pick my fabrics for collection work based on feel and make. I prefer fabric with a little bit of stretch to it. When worn, I feel the elastic tendency of the fabric clings to the body, creating a special and more couture fit. I like a bit of density in fabric as well, to give it the heavy duty look. Time escapes me when I visualize a new design. The steps to creation are right there. I plunge into the piece, and often don't stop until that piece is completely or 80 % finished ( usually 3-6 hour intervals).

The warmer weather has influenced me to put out more word of my passion.career in outdoor & lifestyle art nude work. I was blessed to do some artsy landscape nude work yesterday with a client. He chose a beautiful waterfront location that glistened in the background. It felt amazing to be out in the fresh breeze, experiencing and enjoying nature. My figure modeling gives me time to appreciate a nudest lifestyle, but it is my outdoor work that helps grow my appreciation for existence. I am constantly surprised and enchanted to see an array of amazing locations and settings to work within to create something both artistic and stunning.

I've had time to shoot a few pieces from the new collection already. Yesterday morning Ashley Anne of Plumeria Makeup met up with me and Travis Bettcher at his studio to create a little bit of magic. The pieces I've finished already have inspired me to build a segment of summer tops. I feel bored with the simple solids I've been seeing. The fabulous sun has made its presence known here several times already this season, and I've taken it as a sign. I'll be working on pieces that glorify the female figure. Pieces that fit well in all the right places.

The process of Etsy has been longer than what I had anticipated, but I had to do a bit more thinking about some of the details involved. My store front has just opened, and I am now working on product adding. I will have links as promise, and the timing will be perfect.
