Behind the Scenes with Tara and Amira

This video is a bit overdue, but I didn't feel like its timing was overly important.

A few weeks or so ago, I got together with Tara of Light Artistry and Amira Makeer, as my model. I had met Amira once before, at a photo shoot hosted by Andre Goulet. I recruited her there, and made sure to get her info for future projects. Tara and I had done 1 previous project that was also product related, and also a set of art nudes, in natural light, which is really quite immaculate and really a glorious set. The art nude set is on file for submission, otherwise I would have shared it's beauty with you weeks sooner.

I wanted to do some more project shooting, as I've been experimenting with my antique sewing machine to make more wearable and multi-functional clothing. I picked colors I felt would really go with Amira and her skin. I wanted for both her and the garment to pop from their surroundings. We did both indoor and outdoor segments, which really added to the variety and diversity of the set. My favorite piece on her was definitely my metalic green Frock. She looked amazingly comfortable in it, just as I would imagine someone should in a piece so comfortable and wearable.

I was really happy I brought my camera with me to this project. I find that as the projects pass I forget the detail and the fun moments that occurred in that time. Doing behind the scenes allows me to freeze those moments and look back over them in time . I'm really blessed to be able to work with such a wide variety of talented collaborators. I like to take every opportunity I can get to remember those projects and times.

This video makes the project seem more like a dance party than a shoot, but trust me, we did do lots of work that day :)
