The Beauty of Danielle

A week or so ago Danielle and I cleared a special fragment of time in both of our schedules to get out and shoot. It had been a few weeks since our last project, and mostly I just missed her.

Words don't do our interactions justice. I have been blessed to meet the most inspiring and courageous individuals. From the moment I stumbled across Danielles fb page through other photographers & models, I knew I not only wanted to meet this person, but also connect, and create beautiful art together if possible. I remember the first email I sent her. She was completely cool and receptive; open and available. The only thing that kept us from meeting up sooner than we did was Danielle's cat, who was terribly ill right around the time of our arranged meet up. I've here the cat is doing much better since, thank goodness.

I feel as though Danielle and I didn't really even need an introductory period. Yeah, we did it anyway: coffee & chats, the status quo, but we didn't need to. Danielle's character really really resonates with me. I appreciate her always expressive nature. I appreciate her need to be artistic.

Last time Danielle & I shot together I threw the idea out that I would personally love for her to be in at least a few of the shots with me. Based on our working relationship, and communicating habits, I knew that we would correspond well together behind the lens, without a doubt.

I had told my boyfriend Michael where Danielle and I had planned to shoot before he left for work. At the end of the day he stopped by and took some shots for us! It was a beautiful moment.

I've been trying to shoot more with alternate models. I love the contrast of another body in the frame. The dynamic of the entire photo changes, as the audience focuses on different photo highlights, such as two muses instead of one. I've shot in the past with alternate models and have found the strategy to be quite hit or miss. It depends entirely upon the chemistry of the team. Not only do the body's and wardrobes have to flow together, but the emotions have to be on key as well. It takes no more than 2 or 3 frames to figure out whether or not a set of models is compatible.

I have been approached by a few local models in the past month that have inspired me to keep on trying to find compatibility and shooting potential with more than 1 model.

As July progresses at an extremely quick pace you can expect to see some fresh new work towards the end of the month. Blessed to have my calendar filled, July has been a jam-packed month of modelling. From sculpting to painting classes, independent client work, multiple new designs made and finished, and a workshop! July is going by so fast I don't want to blink. Thank you, to all of the contributing artists that allow me to progress strong ahead in my modelling career. It has been an abundant year of opportunity.
