Dreamy Florida

I received a few emails a couple days ago pertaining to a design I had shipped out before my trip. It had been well received, and the email enclosed a beautiful selection of photos showcasing beautiful Christie Folkman, maternity Style. Photographed by Jamie Delaine, I've attached the set below. For future reference outside of this blog, I have addedthe set to the "online custom design portfolio" tab. That tab showcases many customized designs, made by me for projects, clients, shoots, and events. I love the lush and bright feeling that these photos have. I also love the joy and smiles Christie brings.

Just a couple more days in Florida now. I'm excited to get back into my regular routine of business and clients and also to branch off onto some new insights, completely relevant to my industry and passion. I already know I will miss the weather greatly. It's been absolutely gorgeous; sunny and warm. It's also much more humid here, but surprisingly its been less relevant than expected. Its kept my skin moist, opposed to the Calgary dryness that leaves crackles in my knuckles.

A bit of discussion pre-trip between Michael and myself confirmed a 4-day pass at Universal. Originally, the concern was that this interval might be too long. Reassured desires secured the 4 day time span. My final thought was that it would be better to have a little extra time than to feel rushed. Upon arrival we realized Universal is Divided into two parks: "Universal Studios", and "Islands of Adventure". We spent the first day at Universal, and the second and third at Islands of Adventure. We plan to loop back to Universal for our last day. Islands of Adventure was absolutely amazing, offering roller coasters, simulators, and water rides. Yesterday we went swimsuit style, as prepared as possible for the water rides. The day was mostly cloudy and my outfit stayed wetter and cooler for longer than expected. I guess I can't complain about being cold once during my whole trip. Coldness is an everyday part of my life in Calgary, and a part that I don't miss for two seconds.

Tons of photos have been taken so far to document the experience and I am excited to continue to share. In case you don't know, I showcase daily updates on IG of designs, adventures, lifestyle, and art. One thing I like about instagram is that it is organized and a clear documentation of time and place. I plan to continue to grow my instagram for the time being. There is a possibility this could be my only blog for my time in Florida. Possibly.
