Lets talk modeling:
Since January has commenced I've been absolutely stoked to accept, and complete a handful of absolutely fabulous drawing sessions. Just yesterday I made a quick trip to Vernon for a class at the public art gallery. It was nice to cruise over the hills and enjoy the subtle view of the lake in the distance. The skies were smothered in a thick white layer of smog which made even the road ahead a contorted visual. It was fun to go there and scrape the outskirts of Kelowna for a portion of the day. I find the drive both beautiful and thought provoking. I will continue to go to Vernon over the next few months for contracts as well as Penticton. The space between those towns from Kelowna is quite small to me, less than the distance from one end of the city & back in Calgary. I feel refreshed to be able to compare the sizes of the cities and how they cater to the communities within them.
Closer to the beginning of January I did a few animation classes in the core of the city. I loved them and hope I will have a chance to go back again before May.
Time is still of fascination to me as it goes, and it goes quickly there's no arguing, but sometimes the days, individually, feel absolutely infinite. Like today for example. My goodness was today a long day. I'm relieved that I will be cozied up in my warm bed very soon.
I've been writing lately. Not on the website sadly, but on a separate long-term project. Writing inspires me. As I find myself doing it, I find myself feeling more, noticing more and appreciating more. I hope to be able to share that project with you later on. Not today, not tomorrow, or the next day even. I'm excited to take a long time on this. I wanted it to be perfect.
I've had one song on repeat for the past three days. Aurora - Runaway. I find it seriously amazing. If you've got a moment for a bit of peace and an awesome message, give it a listen.
