I'm popping in to say hello and let you know a little bit about what the business is. The business is that things are fluid and I'm feeling tons of momentum. Overall I'd say its an amazing feeling to have coming into the end of my time here in Kelowna. In the past I've found travelling subject to causing anxiety and a change in the usual schedule. Recently though I've felt relaxed and different about travelling. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stoked to get back to Calgary. I really am. Lists of name fill my notebooks and calendar and as the days approach and get closer I start to follow up with my contacts. Its a balance and timing game, as I still have lots of projects and works to wrap up around here.

This morning around 10 am Conor Teahen and I headed out to a local park for what might be our last shoot of the season. We arrived to an empty parking lot, and a surprisingly warm and glowing morning. We took the scenic route, getting to our location. The forest sparkled and we saw more than 10 dear in 50 minutes there. It seemed almost magical to be able to stand and silently correspond with so many animals in nature in what really felt like harmony and positive resonance. Most of the deer were in groups of 1-3. There was no running at all by anyone during our time there. Occasionally we'd see them walking about, other times they'd be lying relaxed amongst the trees in an observatory manor. We chased the sun (walking slowly ) for the greater part of an hour until it suddenly escaped behind some grey clouds. Those clouds have now taken over the greater part of the sky and I'm really grateful we were able to get out there this morning.

The top that was the focus of our product shoot this morning was since shipped out to Dominique Huyghe (professional model based out of Vancouver), who will be modelling it upon arrival. I'm an excited and honored to add her name to my socialite board going forward.

The launch of my swimwear collection has captured the attention of many fashion industry professionals and I've been enjoying making products for clients directly. Some of my works I've had to build and ship so quickly I have not had time to photograph or market. I consider this a blessing as I'm always happy to be in my studio, sewing away.

Attached are a few sneak peaks of the top that was just shipped out to Dominique. I made this top off the basis of comfort and functionality. I wanted to build something sleek, light and simple. Something that wouldn't weigh on my shoulders or back. The leverage of the straps keeps everything in place and weightless. The solid coloring keeps it sleek and simple whilst the photos prove its functionality. I'm excited for this piece to reach Dominique and for her to be able to wear her custom set with her own essence and style in front of the camera.

Stay tuned in the Kelowna album tab because I've got lots of new work to add <3
