Happy May. I hope it finds you well. For me, I'm a mix of emotions - some of which are my own, and some hang upon me. I'm giving myself a couple days, no pressure. That doesn't mean too much I'm sure, as "no pressure" to me means still moving fluidly with and throughout the day. I figure I ll let
Monday brought excitement as I got to see my beautiful friend Danielle Nicol in her new place of dwelling. It was seriously the nicest to be able to kick off my time here by seeing my awesome pal Danielle. My start to being here has felt extremely fluid and satisfying. It took me a minute to get into the routine of finding flow and connection even though its taken a little longer than expected to get the wifi hooked up at the house. I've been promised Friday latest, which is definitely something I can live with. To make up for the lack of connection I've been drinking a bit more coffee than usual. Basically starbucks has become my go to. Not so much for the food but more for the internet connection. The flow is steady and I seem to always pick a starbucks that has the perfect place for me to sit. Maybe I'm just easy to please.
I had an important meeting this morning in the NE. I was excited to go and my excitement carried on over the length of the meeting. It's always nice to get out and meet new people, regardless of the progression of the relationship, my gypsy lifestyle has taught me how to appreciate people for what they are in passing.
Yesterday and today I've slowly been easing myself back into the studio. My room is all set up and good to go. I've found a few new fabrics I've felt quite inspired by as well. It's an exciting time as I've completely 90% of my outstanding orders and am now ready to focus my attention once again, towards new clients. As I spend more time sewing, and become more and more comfortable with the machine as well as my own design technique, I shift my attention towards the outside world. I'm excited to look more in depth into business relationships and potentially having my designs showcased in storefronts via alternate brands & stores and more.
Today's photo credit is to Danielle Nicol, who I was the happiest to see on May 01.
More coming soon, stay tuned.
