Week 1 Reflect

It's hard to believe it's been a full 7 days since Mike and I pulled up with the U-haul. When I start to reflect in deeper detail, all that has happened during my first chunk of time here, I find I'm not surprised at the amount of time that has past. I'm into week two. To keep clear track of the weather schedule, I reflect on the differences in temperature from week to week and notice how much cooler it is this week, compared to last. Last week felt like a summer dream. I'm sure I sweated it out in the studio from time to time even. This week I'm finding there is a more brisk and consistent wind. The weather is telling me all my wind and worries will be gone by my shoot this afternoon. This is the best news I could hope for.

The new week yields an increasing amount of activity. This is always a positive sign. I've done my best to fade out stress thoughts and keep tensions low as I seek to market myself to the correct consumer during this short yet somehow infinite amount of time. The time becomes infinite in my mind because I feel that I could do just about anything with it and within it. The time is short because it is a physical and visual interval of time ( 4 months ). I think it feels like less than it really is sometimes, simply because I know the exact amount of time I will be here in advance. Sounds crazy but plans change often, this comes as no surprise to me.

As the new week takes off I'm wrapping up an order for one of my favorite clients. She's heading out of Canada on another adventure (she's always going on those) and has requested some custom swimwear for her trip <3 I've wrapped up her order and the last step is to ship it out.

I've posted some content online to spread some awareness of my business name and motive during my time here. I'm excited to see what comes of it as I've already received feedback and custom requests. The more I connect and get in touch with last years crew, I feel my mind clear and what few worries may exist, fade away. It is clear that the resources are here for me. Even those which I have not yet tapped into. It's been amazing to explore the city and my surroundings without the pressure of having a strict schedule. I find I grow to love the schedule I create for myself.

Today's list of to-do's is awesome and obviously creative, but also quite long. After wrapping up my blog I'll head back to the studio to confirm this afternoon's city styled photo shoot. There are also new designs for clients to be started and follow ups to be done. I appreciate the flow and fluidity of networking, when done with commitment.

Photo credit is to Danielle Nicol, who I feel infinitely blessed to be able to have real and honest moments with.
