Happy Weekend to those that it applies to. For me, the days of the week have slurred together for a moment as I reassess my goals and expectations of my time here. I realize that every time a change is made it must be matched with an equal internal or external change to balance out the environment. As I get more comfortable and settled into my space I get a better feeling of how my time will be balanced and spent while I'm here.

I continue to sew full speed ahead, focusing on my goals and dreams as they continue to shift and grow as I do the same.

Yesterday was a really cheery and exciting day as my long planned swim - marathon shoot featuring myself, _shiaali, and @samalama.bangbang (IG tags.). Photographs were taken by my beautiful and very talented friend Jen Freedman. Despite winds that topped anything we d had that week, we were determined to make things happen. It was an extremely gusty afternoon but the girls absolutely powered through it. The afternoon was full of smiles and laughs, and beautiful photos which I can't wait to share as soon as I receive them. We must've shot more than 3 separate sets; some of which have never been shot before. I was really excited and pumped to get this product shot for so many reasons. Most of what I've been building lately has been for clients directly. I like to have the product photographed before it is shipped out to my client so that I can have it on file for pattern/portfolio reference. I've had pieces go out in the past so quickly I've simply forgotten about them. It feels important that I have a showcase of my pieces, especially considering the customization and individuality of them.

I did jump into a couple shots yesterday, to balance out colors and photo formatting. Outside of that, I had the best time just being there, organizing the outfits, choosing accessories, visualizing what models look good where and with who, and bringing my opinion forward accordingly. As a designer, it felt good to be able to have time to see the way it looks. ( when I'm modelling the product I am in the middle of everything and often don't get to see the outcome until after/later. Having models on set was a huge load off as I was able to visualize how I wanted the product to look. The girls took an extra load off of my as no direction was needed. I'm the luckiest to be able to work with the most out-going and motivated models and photographers.

As the new week approaches I'll be working with a few new fabrics. I've had many conversations locally about flow-dresses. I've felt inspired and the supplies have come to me. I'll be doubling up so I can continue on my mini collections in the swimwear department, as well as my mini collection of flow-dresses. Honestly I'm super duper excited.
