The past week has been jaded by constant and swift weather changes, as well as unfamiliar internal feelings. Sometimes the weather brings this about. Sometimes the change is an effect of personal evolution. Sometimes I am too naive to identify where or what causes me to feel how I feel. Sometimes I am straight-up in denial. I find the variety in feelings and emotions blend to create a wide perspective of outlooks. The variety in days I presume is what creates the colorful collage of all that I have to look back on.
Sam and I had planned a girls project for the morning. In result of the brisk windy morning, we've rescheduled our project in hopes of nicer whether. I love working with the industry girls for so many reasons. One reason is because I find we tend to communicate well with few words.
Towards the end of the month I'll be appearing at ACAD, as well as few other artistic spaces. I'm always happy to be involved in the drawing process. I love receiving requests, whether they be last minute, or with due notice., I come alive in the creative environment. I feel relaxed, and comfortable. I feel the safety of the space around me.
It's been absolutely fabulous to touch base with and form relationships with new clients over the summer season. It seems as though it is somewhat true, what is said about people cycling through the industry. Some folks won't be involved forever. For some its more of a progression stage in life, than a lifestyle. But some will and have been appreciating the art of photography for a substantial amount of time. I always feel really honored to meet and connect with truly passionate people.
As I approach my final month in Calgary I feel both excited and relieved. I'm excited for a final chance to scope out the creative market and seek anything that really speaks to me over this last little interval.
For inspiration, I've found a couple quotes that really seem to be sticking out to me today: "Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can." I think this is a really great attitude to have when you feel passionate about something and want to participate. There are times it is not good to over think things. Sometimes it is better to just get started and think over the details later on. Often times I find the details take care of themselves.
