Getting Settled

After a couple days of being on the road and in between places, it feels nice to know that we've quickly settled. Mike and I have gotten into a good system of unpacking. Normally my schedule varies in between move times. This time I left the days open on purpose. That way I figured I'd have time for all the errands without feeling rushed, and maybe time for pictures on top of that.

My last week in Calgary finished strong and well. I left off shooting with several photographers. Some old friends, and some new, it felt great to shoot some new concepts with some outgoing people. It's also nice to know that the photos will be making their way towards me over the next few weeks. Getting photos back is kind of like Christmas to me. I never know when they're coming or what to expect. They are always a surprise.

I've brought all my most creative gowns and pieces. The studio is not quite set up yet, but only because I'm still deciding where the most effective place to set up with be. I feel as though I will be quite inspired by my luscious and green backyard as well as the warm Okanagan air.

These next couple days I plan to focus on reconnecting and reevaluating how I feel my time here in Lake Country should/ will be spent.

On the website I have new files to upload. Some creative, some fine art. I look forward to having the time to sit down and update these pages with some new, bright, and cheery content. I've also recently converted the "Calgary portfolio" tab, so that all the work is in a new, easy to see, format.

I'm taking my time to wind into my routine and cycle here as I know my plans foundation is as important as the plan itself. On Instagram I've been receiving lots of positive and insightful feedback from friends/followers/individuals for who inspired or motivated to communicate with me. It's so nice to know how others are feeling. Sometimes I forget how much I have in common with the world around me. I find as time passes I realize more and more how important community is to me. It's important to have a place and space to retreat to where comfort, acceptance, and passion can be felt.

Photo credit to @Badty ! So glad I got to work with him before leaving Calgary.
