Smooth September

Today is for blogging, and hopefully a large amount of website work. I don't expect a lot of it to be seen/noticed because it will be detailing ( captions for photos, keywords, tagging, rearranging photo galleries, etc. My pal Bill gave me some feedback about some of my site widgets over the weekend. I was grateful for his feedback as I regularly use my site in edit mode and sometimes forget to check back to previewer mode to make sure everything translates properly and fits the page, etc. This morning I've updated my comment tab, as I'm hoping to have implemented a more practical and user-friendly way to leave feedback/comments so that I can get back to you.

My Instagram tab hadn't been loading properly for quite some time. I thought it was just on my end, but as I double-checked I realized it wasn't working online either. I refreshed/restored the tab to my usual account and everything seems to be working now. It's something I just need to check back on and stay on top of.

High up on my list of website updates is the desire to redesign my model tabs, aside from the one I've already reconstructed. It feels more clean and organized that way. It's worth the time and effort to me. I'm also in the mental stages of a new tab called "Get involved". It's still forming and shaping so I can't talk too much about the details of it. My hope is that it will bring people together and enhance the forcefully grown sense of community I feel around me.

On a creative and artsy note, I've touched based with my core favorites and a few artists that have caught my eye and grabbed my attention! Today I'm driving to Penticton to see my long time friend and amazing photographer, Jess (Lichon Photography).

The okanagan vibes and feelings seemed to hit me as soon as I arrived. I feel inspired by the energy and scenery. I'm currently shopping and looking for green fabrics/artificial florals. I see many conceptual designs and dresses coming into reality through these materials. I've got my studio all set up and I gotta tell you I really love the way it looks/ feels. I've still just finished unpacking so I'm excited for a time that I can disappear inside my new crafty space and create something that truly speaks.

Photo credit's to Brian Burke. These photos are significantly special to me because I took them with Heather. I met Heather through art & Steve Osmond. She worked as an MUA on our first shoot together and from there are friendship flowed into more than I could have ever imagined. I considered her a soul-sister. I am grateful for her friendship in more ways than I can express.
