Arts & crafts

This September has brought forth the trying of many new things. I picked up some candle making supplies before Mike and I left Calgary and I tucked them aside knowing they'd be fun to try/make after I was settled and unpacked. They've been the most fun. I find they recipe both easy and simple. I like that I can pick whatever color I want the candle to be, and I also have a large variety of scents to choose from. It's a really calming and relaxing process and I recommend it. #arttherapy. Along side new crafts, I've started a collection of crochet cactus's. I think they are so cool. So cute and bright and cheery, plus I don't have to worry about watering them. Lastly, I think I mentioned my grandpa taught me how to Can a few weeks ago. I've been canning peaches for the past few weeks. Lots and lots. This morning I finally finished the box. I love the idea of having my favorite fruits year round. I am currently looking into other means of fruit preservation as well :)

Over this crafty time frame I've speculated upon how nice it feels to allow myself to try and explore new things. In the past I've felt that as a maturing and aging individual it was my responsible to pick a path and be accountable to it. I do still think there are truths to it, but I don't think I need to be so restrictive about who I am or what I do by any means. I can be what I am and more. I don't have to worry about being too many things. I think, more importantly for me is finding enjoyment in the things I am doing. It's nice to clarify. It's liberating.

The past few weekends Conor and I have been capturing some great content. I'm really happy about it and grateful to have gotten out while it was warm because that weather is quickly disappearing now.

This weekend I'll be doing a fun local promo with my friend Jess :) I recruited her to come with me. One thing I love about promo work is that there is often room for more optimism and bodies. I often am able to recruit friends and other industry professionals to come out with me and be part of fun and exciting local activities. It's really a great time.

This past week I haven't had time for resource gathering and coffee updates as I usually do. That being said, I'm excited to get the chance. After taking a break from looking, whose to say how many resources may have compiled. #infinitepossibilities.

In the fashion/sewing department I've started a new series of white garments. I am excited to complete and showcase them over the next few months.
