Happy Canadian thanksgiving friends. I know its been about 6/7 years now I've been back in Canada for the holiday, but I'm still getting used to the tradition, and the dates of it.

It's been a really fluid and fun time with classes happening all throughout last week and this one. I'm exciting to go to a few places this week that I haven't been to in a couple months/years. It's always refreshing and fun to reconnect with artistic friends/professionals. I'm also really grateful to be surrounded by so much talent and creativity. I've witnessed so much amazing art and progression in such a small amount of time. It's quite miraculous and absolutely satisfying to see.

Yesterday afternoon I shot with Conor in West Kelowna, near the lake. I remembered a location he had chosen for us that was really timeless to me. It's still one of my favorite sets. I've included photos from the set in this blog.

The park looked completely different as it had flooded and most of the paths had been washed out. Still stunning, trees held beautiful red/green/yellow flowers. It was the perfect fall pallet with a hint of jungle. It was yet again, a very close little piece of heaven. Although it was crisp, I doubt the photos will show it. The garments I made and wore for the shoot were comfortable and warm in many aspects. Although they didn't cover my shoulders, they had layers and length that insulated the rest of my body. I am super excited to see the set. I am so happy we were able to shoot outdoors again before it gets too cold. It was 5 degrees just a few mornings ago. Winter is coming, its undeniable.

This coming tuesday I'll be shooting with a photographer I've been following for a couple years. A constant inspiration and fellow artist, I'm really exciting to be coming together for a project.

In the design room, I've got a package going out to a model who is a dear friend of mine. She will be travelling to a warm and beautiful place in the near future and thought I might have some tropical attire for her to model during her time there. I am always so happy to hear from friends and fellow professionals about trips and projects they think I may want to be a part of. I do the same thing, in the artistic world there is always room for more talented professionals, and I often find myself recruiting and bringing others with me to projects and events. It's nice to be an active part of a community of people that thinks of one another and looks out for one another and checks in on one another. It's a very special thing that I appreciate often.

I'm also in the midst of finishing a dress I plan to shoot with my pal Jess at Lichon Photography. I plan to finish it tonight and be onto the next. Designing has had more flow for me lately. More creativity and liberty. I hope the feeling stays.
