Wishing you a happy Halloween, or samhein., whatever you will.

I can't say I've ever appreciated the holiday as much as I have this year. I've spent the past week in awe of nature and it's spectacular fall color pallet. I've pulled over many times to look at and interact with the various plants and rocks around me. I would've never thought I could be so captivated by nature, but lately I feel its all I see. In regards to the holiday in particular, I've spent lots of time walking and reflecting amongst nature feeling very activated and awakened by the livelihood of the land. This passion is still very new to me and it's exciting to be able to pinpoint this interest and work with it. Nature has always blended into my modelling, but knowing how truly interested and amused by nature I am makes me want to add more and more.

I've been focusing on keeping and showcasing earthy shoots and tones on my portfolio. Most of my new designs focus around female empowerment and lots of them have traditional greek-like structure to them. I've made about 5 so far this year, and I believe I've only shared 1 so far. I still have 1 or 2 to shoot, but overall I'm really happy with the progress of this project. It has developed into something bigger than I had originally intended, and to me, this project holds a lot of power. I'm really excited to see what comes of it as time continues. My first completed and shared dress is Pink, you can see it in my 2017 portfolio. Have you seen it already? What did you think about it? Excited to see more? Any insights?

At our current place, Mike and I decided to label the master bedroom "The Green Room". I remember when I used to go to the cabin when I was young my Grandma named all the rooms and filled them to match the theme. Those rooms were magical to me. Each one was completely different, yet each was a captivating world all of its own. I love the tradition, and I hope to carry it with me all the way to our "forever home" . With "the green room" I've designated a specific wall to my botanical studies, and other ledges and corners to plant life, and earthy feelings. The room really flows and feels cozy and themed. I'm happy with the test and look forward to continuing this way.

The cold, breezy weather has kept me inside, but I've been bundling up and making more time than ever to get out and study nature. Keeping crafty, much of my art hasn't been shared online as it's been framed and placed all around the house.

Inside, and on the go, I've got ongoing designs and modelling work but also some very fresh and new ideas and plans coming into effect. Some which is too new to discuss right now, but one thing that is new and exciting that I can share right now is my "green magic" page. Earlier in the week I felt my creative blinders cover me as I disappeared into a magical land on my website. Sometimes that happens. I put a lot of time and effort into the setup, and flow of the pages. Time escapes me and I find I lift my head to see a few hours have past, often. I like doing it. It feels good to update things and bring things to the level I feel I current flow at. I did some fresh homepage updates. I'm not sure if I'm done there yet but I like the flow of the page so far. "green magic" is still new, but I have plans to upload 1 of many plant galleries shortly.

Today's blog photo was taken by me.

This photo will be added to the first plant gallery I spoke of above.

Until November,

Suzie
