Crispy Start

It's been amazing to watch the seasons change so fast and vividly. The first fall lasted about 48 hours or so. It's looking very white and fluffy. I'm heading out to take some photos shortly as I think the first big snowfall is something worth noting and observing. It was however, a sad day to find out that days for gathering and examining plant life will soon be much less than they had been. In the past week of gathering I've pieced together many beautiful arrangements, mostly just for vases around the house, and of course anyone who wants to purchase for their own home, but also for smudge sticks, which I've loved making. I've got about 5 sitting out getting ready for the drying process. I hope to have at least one more chance to gather, both for floral arrangements and for Goddess Crowns. I've come to the conclusion that the gowns I've been working on lately would look a lot more thematic and completed with some extra natural touches.

I've updated the home page a bit further., It didn't feel complete the way I left it so I went back to try to give the website a bit more of a center point and sense of direction. I'm happier with the way it represents my passions and interests and am now looking towards ways to increase the conversation. I've made a note to look more seriously into an appropriate and high functioning chat bar and I think that could do all kinds of good for the site.

In honor of the day of the Dead, I found a cool movie on Netflix Mike and I haven't ever seen before. It was called " the book of life". If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. The movie takes time to explain the essential reason for the "holiday", and uses an original story and animated characters to explain a beautiful and complex belief system. Made for kids, I was completely captivated by this moving and thought provoking film. I'm so grateful to have been able to watch it honestly. It was a great example to me of how technology can be used to educate and enhance the way we view the world. This movie has quickly and with ease become a favorite that I store in my head with my other all-time favorites, in case anyone dare to ask me what they might be.

I've had some extra online time the past week due to life decisions and schedule changes, and I've found myself feeling like a bit of a smatterer. I'm very interested by a wide assortment of things. I find myself knowing a little of this and a little of that. I trust that this is the beginning of new doors opening and that there is a reason for all the different sorts of information that are amusing and consuming me.

As a model I find my mind going a mile a minute around winter concepts but my body is having a little trouble being as excited as my mind. Part of me wants to take advantage of the crisp white snow, I'm not sure how soon I'll be seeing it again. On the other hand I feel like reality hits me hard when I look at the temperature and see 5-10 below. My small corpse becomes very fragile against the strong and mighty wind and I feel as though it might just sweep me away.

I'd feel tremendously happy to walk away with the season with even 1 strong winter concept. It'd be a huge win for me, knowing what my sensitivities are and how the winter season hits me. I continue to work and edit this idea in my mind. I have confidence it will be spectacular when all is ready to be shot.
