Quarterly

Started the day out super early, pulling poor Mike out of the warm cozy bed with me just to get to where I didn't need to be until hours early. I find morning mistakes make for a lot of reflection. I thought about what had happened the whole drive home. "So silly." "There's an hour out the window". Trying to stay more optimistic I grasp to the idea that it's okay for us all, myself included, to make mistakes. I realize I've always taken life really seriously. I wonder what it might be like to worry less. I presume there would be more time for creation, and happiness.

December has had a mysterious and really fast feeling to it. The sun came to visit yesterday and I was oh so happy to see it. I'm trying to understand why time seems to go so much faster as I get older. I'll update if I come across any findings.

It feels good to stay consistent and close to the website. I've got a couple new sets to upload in the 2017 folder and I'm expecting a few more any day. I think its good to continue even when the forecast and temperature aren't ideal. I don't know if I could stop being creative even if (heaven forbid) I wanted to. It's a natural part of who I am and what I do.

I find myself coming into a natural refocused state where I remember how much I enjoy making and mending things. I've got one of my favorite fabric bins in front of me and I'm casually sifting through it finding what appeals to the eye and what speaks to me. I'm finding myself pulled to the purples, reds, and blacks. It could be a winter thing. I've been talking my photographer friend Jess about a project incorporating swimwear so I'm preparing. I've got sketches off to the side somewhere here too.

I'm looking forward to the day that follows as it will hopefully give me time to sew my pre cut stencils that I plan to cut before bed.
