Time & Change

Happy February. Honestly I love February. A couple reasons for that are because my sister and myself were born in this very month. Just 5 days apart. It's kind of special. Also because it's sort of known as the month of love with Valentines day and all. I generally like to see the valentines flicks and the gestures of kindness and love presented freely for all to see. I find it quite amusing.

Today was a super surprisingly fun day as I received photos from Giovanni in the afternoon. I was out and about for most of the day but this evening I had some time to sit down and sort/dl photos to their proper destinations. Giovanni and I have been working together creatively for the past few years. My mind was blown by the countless collections that came to life amazingly well. I was very lucky and blessed to connect with Giovanni back in 2014 (ish). I'm not sure either of us knew of all we would accomplish and create together artistically. I've attached a link to his website in case you want to check out his work: https://gioklik.com/galleries/

Tomorrow I will be shooting with Blair for another water color series. I'm really looking forward to it. After receiving so much diverse and wonderful work back from Giovanni I feel I have a lot of pose inspiration and optimism towards my figure modelling in general. It is a craft I have taken a lot of time to learn and understand and I feel gratitude and a sense of accomplishment through the connections and people I've met through doing what I find passionate. It feels amazing to connect with people that share your passions.

Painting for me, has slowed a bit since last month. For a moment, and with a change in plank size, I felt a bit stumped for ideas to properly fill the space. Sometimes it's a bit of fight between creativity and perfection. Yesterday, however, I felt inspired by a fellow artists spectacular pieces and was able to mix a color I felt genuinely happy to see on the wood.

The future outside is unknown to me after waking to yet another morning to a lot of snow. I've been wishing for Spring but it appears the weather is just one more thing I can't control. In the mean time I plan to photograph more of the interior of my current place of residence in a figurative fine art nude kind of way. I have a beautiful collection of florals and botanicals that I've both planted and collected over the past few months that I'd like to try to showcase a bit more in depth.

Today's photos are just a few from Giovanni Vidotto and I. I'll update on where the sets go once I've organized the collections...There are many!
