Today is a blank day for me. It's been spectacular to just be able to take it easy and do some organizing/cleaning at the house. Coming into our last few months here in BC, I've already started to pack and begun the clean out process. I find it both relaxing and productive to start getting things ready sooner than later. I've had a jam packed and busy month full of activity and art, but my days at home have been very few and far between. I figure if I spend a good portion of my home-time preparing, I may feel organized and prepared when the time roles around.
It's been a great month for sewing and serging on the machine. I've started pieces for a few trips I have coming up in the next few months. I'm excited to get out of town. I feel it's been a very down-to-business time and I look forward to the change in perspective.
On a lighter and more exciting note, Blair and I have teamed up for an upcoming exhibit here in local Lake Country. I'm excited for the opportunity to have our art displayed and the team process has taken a lot of pressure off of us as individuals while we work to put all the pieces together. I'm hopeful we will be featured.
My talented friend Giovanni has published a piece of our work (photography) at an international photography exhibit in Romania. I've always felt these photos were worth sharing and I'm really excited and happy to hear we have a bit of work on display for others to see and reflect on.
On the website I'm working towards a bit of cleaning up and updating. I love most of the pages, but there are a couple I'm finding feel a bit packed/crammed. I'm thinking of ways to find a solution. I'm also thinking of some visuals that can lead to better website navigation. I feel there is a lot of content and I'd like to maximize in accessibility. Any feedback in this regard would be much appreciated.
Headed into the last leg of February I'm feeling good about the work that has been put in but am also excited to continue with momentum. This is a great opportunity for me to get prepared and organized in as many areas as possible before our time here wraps up and we're onto the next adventure.
I've been baking more in my spare time. I realize it's not something I usually talk about. The more time I spend making treats I realize I can make some pretty amazing things with some pretty simple ingredients. It's fun to spend time in a different setting doing something still so creative and artistic. Cherry Cheesecake is one of our favorites.
