As has become customary, I will start off my blog with some in-depth small-talk about the weather. It's another dreary day, matching mostly all the rest of April, excluding yesterday. Yesterday we saw the sun. I am grateful for that. It's been major West Coast vibes around here in terms of the weather; very cloudy, overcast and generally solid grey. Random yet constant rain falls and overall very gloomy weather.
On a more optimistic note, I'll be attending/working one more Liveessence Session on Saturday. I hope to see some regulars and say some fare wells. Ken, who currently runs Live essence originally connected me to many spectacular artists and classes around the city when I returned to BC after my first year in Calgary. I'm grateful to have had that connection. This session is special for many reasons but one being that it is my very last. Another being that there are so many different artists who preform their art using many different mediums. I love to see the different techniques being applied and overall it makes up a very unique and diverse environment.
Mike and I are two weeks away from no longer being here. Seems like such a short time, but feels, in this moments like so much longer. It's a cold, unusual time. As you can see I'm enthusiastically counting down. It's been so nice to reconnect and start to plan a bit more in depth for our return to Calgary.
On the more crafty side I've been working on some poolside and summer acceptable pieces for a short trip Mike and I will be taking before our new adventure in Calgary. It will be nice to get out of town but I feel I need to remind myself to enjoy as much as I can of this place although the weather may be difficult to work with. Who knows when I will be back again. I have so many amazing experiences and connections here to be grateful for.
Today I've shared just a couple from many sessions, classes and projects during some of my time in Calgary. I am so looking forward to the upcoming year of changes and all that it may bring.
