Holy crap have the past couple weeks been an adventure. I'm happy to say I'm hooked up to stable wifi after a few days of transitioning into a new home and working as a team with Mike to put all the bits and pieces together. I'm so happy to finally be here. Moving is such a process. This year we took a trip to California between moving from BC and getting settled in AB. It was one of the most beautiful places I can ever recall seeing. It made the moving process feel a bit longer to me when all was said and done. We moved into our new home on Tuesday, 80% of our loads of belongings had been finished by the end of the day. That night I stayed up till 11 30 unpacking and putting lots of things in their places. The type A in me felt very active and ambitious that night. Usually I prefer to go to bed early (ish) and wake up early. The past week has been one of the latest weeks I've had in a long time. Close to midnight every night. The beautiful sunlight doesn't make sleeping any easier. I soak it up like a sponge and can't wait for it to wake me as it pokes through many windows in the morning and brightens the entire home. It's magical and it feels wasteful not to enjoy it.
Mike and I went to Indio, California about a week ago. It was sunny every single day and I'd never been there before so I felt there was much to see! Mike and I explored different aspects of the area and found many interesting and entertaining features. It was my first time in a hot place in a while. It made me realize that I may finally be adjusting to Canada's cool weather. It's a nice thought to have.
Starting up in Calgary again has been awesome. Really relaxed, but filled with meaningful connections and steps being taken to ensure a passionate and directed future. I don't think I need to say too much more at this point in time besides I am optimistic about upcoming events and to really focus in on doing what I love.
After many months of grey skies, rain and snow (in bc), seeing the sun is like the jiffy peanut butter commercial to me (every time is like the first time) ;)
Blog photos are from our trip to California.
