Good morning!
I can't remember the last time I blogged nice and early like this, but it feels really good and I get the feeling I could do it more often.
Our new home is fantastic upstairs for natural light. These spring mornings I wake to the sound of birds in the backyard and the sun rising right through the bedroom window. I've never had so much natural light pouring into every room in the home. It's something I have a lot of gratitude for.
On the modelling spectrum, I'm currently working on a few projects I'm really excited about. This upcoming week is booked with shoots that will give me the opportunity to showcase some of my not-yet-photographed designs, as well as work on some fine art figurative work.
Weather has increased both dramatically and beautifully and yesterdays 29 degrees kept me in the garden for hours and hours. Time escapes me out there. I've removed half the lawn from the first 50 degree tier. As I look more at the yard and my progress I have more ideas and concepts for the space. It's a fun project. It gives me even more appreciation for the gorgeous weather.
During my first few weeks here I followed up with contacts that had reached out to me over different social media platforms. I love that feeling of getting all caught up. Once I get that feeling I can move into the stage of exploring new resources. I love exploring new resources. I've felt so lucky to be able to use the internet so freely and to find answers to many questions and solutions to many problems via this resource. One of my favorite parts of being "new" somewhere so to speak, is having a fresh chance and opportunity to tap into the limitless opportunities that may exist in that area.
During my reconnecting/reaching out I was connected to some truly fantastic people. I've always felt Calgary has such a broad and spectacular artistic scene. These past two weeks of being back that has been affirmed for me time and time again. I absolutely love it and feel so grateful to be a part of it. Last week I teamed with Stephan Villanueva and we work on a reel. I love love love video footage and jumped at the opportunity to work with such a talented photographer/ videographer.
The footage has already been sent to me and I am in the process of learning how to properly post video footage that has music over top of it as It's something I don't have a lot of experience with. I have a youtube account set up, so once I make sure to upload them properly, adding them to my website should be an easy detail.
Today's photos feature my garden plants and a few amazing plants that belong to my neighbor.
