Passing of June

This month has drifted away from me. I feel as though I've blinked and the month as a whole has past. My calendar proves I've stayed proactive, and committed to what I am passionate about. I feel grateful for that. I always keep a physical calendar so that I have a reference I can always just grab to look at or jot in all throughout the year. It's so nice to have a clear record of activities/dates/times. I've also been able to incorporate birthdays in my calendar this year. This is great for reference as I can access this book no matter the year or time to retrieve information such as this.
Organization is and always has been such a big part of my life. I find it to be such a refreshing and cleansing process. Similar to cleaning in many ways, organizing always me to put everything it's rightful place. When I know where to find things I don't need to waste time looking for them. Growing up, I remember being the one commonly asked where things were. Even if I didn't put the specific item away, it was likely I knew exactly where it was. I've always been grateful for this gift, and just recently I've been pondering really focusing in on my organizational interest, especially around the home.
In many ways we've still just moved here. Two months new, Mike and I already have strawberries, peppers, and tomatoes coming up in our late-summer garden. I'm so glad we took the time to pull the grass off parts of the slope and get things somewhat garden-friendly before we were too late into the season.
Coming into the end of June, it feels really good to end the month with a long weekend. Mike and I decided on a quick trip. He's taken me to a spot I've never been, but have quickly fallen in love with. My jaw dropped more times than I could count over the hills and through the mountains. Hours disappeared and through the rapid rain came the summer sun. We arrived before I had finished soaking in the amazing views. We plan to start the adventuring tonight after a little family bbq.
It always feels good to change up the scenery. Stepping out of my usual environment usually brings me inspiration. I look forward to the rush of inspiration I anticipate I will receive upon return home and into the new week.
This past week was jam packed for shooting. With the sun out and shining I felt determined and committed to shoot plans. Several fine art concepts, as well as a few fashion concepts. Several sets have already been accepted for publication.
