Happy Monday!

I've had a nice block of time this morning to take care of emails, communications, and other social media. As the weekend passed my to-do list compiled and the time I may have had to work on those tasks came and left on the clock. I don't like that procrastinating feeling.

Last week I shipped out designs to various locations. I'm excited for those pieces to arrive in their new homes and be worn <3 I loved the process of making the plans & getting things ready to go.

In the publication sector, most of my recent work has been put in to be published. This has never been something I've prioritized, but have always been happy to be a part of it. Most recently I've been putting more focus on expressing my interest in contributing both as model but also in writing pieces that can be published along with the photography :) I've always loved to write. As a means of habit I've used my blog as this resource in many ways. It's been amazing to step outside of that and try to captivate specific emotions and ideas from various the shoots and projects that have been done over the past month(s).

Next on my list this evening is one of several of those write ups . I try to keep them loose and free-flowing.

I've been inspired by some Haitian music I've been finding. Being fluent in Kreyol, I've always loved to listen to music that was authentic to that culture and the Haitian people. I used to pop into one of my favorite local cd stores often when I lived there. Not being there in many years, I feel grateful for the resource youtube has been to me in reconnecting with those roots inside me. I believe the seven years I spent there shaped a lot of the character and personality of the person I am today.

Earlier this weekend I harvested a number of herbs from the garden again as I have roughly once a week throughout the summer. I've been enjoying a hot cup of tea more than ever. I've only been interested in what I've grown and harvested myself as far as drinking, mostly just because of all the health benefits I am aware they provide. Since all my teas are herbs, I think its fair to say they are herbal teas (vs. green or black). I could be wrong but this makes sense to me. Among the garden and suitable for tea in my home are: Sage, Lemon Balm, Wormwood, and yaro.

Today I've attached some photos I've taken around the garden over the past month. To match my last paragraph and give you an idea of my tea-making process :)

*** My menu has been updated to include the 2018 lookbook! I encourage you to take a look at that page and leave me feedback about exactly how it makes you feel :>)
