Good morning.

I'm feeling grateful for the time to sit down and jot this morning.

With a week filled with fine art and figurative work ahead, it feels good to write it out and get things organized, mentally.

Yesterday brought in a wind storm. I could hear the loud winds out the window all throughout the night. Into the morning they've remained consistent and fierce. I'll be sure to bring my space heater to tonight's session as I feel the dramatic changes in weather vividly. My space heater has saved me during my sessions over the years. I've learned I never know what temperature to expect. I've also learned what temperatures my body likes and feels relaxed in. My space heater allows me to modify the temperature around me. It's done me well throughout the years.

Despite the smoke and strange sudden change in weather, nature continues to be beautiful and blossom and bloom. This past week was very much filled with harvesting and cultivating herbs into oils and tea from the back yard garden. I tried not build expectations when I grew my garden. I've learned that gardening is like science in many senses., whether or not what you are doing turns out the way you expect, you are learning from the process. I've been so grateful for the endless flow of life that streams from the backyard. It grows on me more everyday and inspires me in ways I do not yet fully understand. Many new thoughts and ideas arrive through the inspiration of it's beauty. Writing in this way is one way that further helps me build and grow on those thoughts and ideas.

It's been exciting and very eye opening to learn about the variety of ways the herbs from the garden can benefit personal health by multiple means of use.

Everything ties together in this sense as my natural health contributes to my modelling. I feel encouraged to take the time to learn these interesting and seemingly infinite facts about how different garden herbs can increase your health and wellness.

This August I've prioritized having a cup of tea before bed.

I can't speak highly enough of this cozy tradition. It sets an awesome mood for a great nights sleep. There is nothing to me, like a warm cup of tea and a cool breeze coming in the window. Thanks to the windy weather the past few days I've been able to enjoy my tea exactly the way I prefer it. It feels good to take time to drink something that tastes good, and is simply healthy. I also find warm water incredibly soothing.

Today I'm pulling my "summer selection" and lying it all down in front of me so that I can see and have a solid understanding of what I've made this summer that I've not yet shared/photographed. Sometimes I get into what I call "makers-mode". I'm happy to make time now to recover from that phase and properly showcase and share that work.

Here's are some photos from the garden which I can't stop talking about :0
