As the sun rises just outside the window I breath in gratitude and exhale all frustration. With every day awakens new opportunities and sometimes challenges, but also the courage it takes to dive in and take on those challenges. Yes, life can feel overwhelming at times, just as it can feel light and peaceful.
Have you ever felt like you needed a mind reprogram? I think of it like mental chiropractic work. I say chiropractic as I realize it can be a somewhat ongoing process. I also think these phases of life are natural.
I've felt this way lately and I'm relieved to share that over the years I've compiled several resources for achieving this method of getting back to, and aligning with the feelings and thoughts that really resonate with me.
This morning I will share a few.
1) Manifestation Meditation:
I think I must've been around 20 when I first discovered positive affirmations via youtube. I remember the time well. Over a few months I habitually Incorporated listening into my life routine. I collected the tracks that really resonated and stood out to me and play them regularly, each night before bed. Often times voices would overlap each other, leaving me the opportunity to hear whatever stands out. These tracks stand among my favorites. Each time I search in this category I come away pleasantly surprised.
2) Music:
I understand that not all people are music people. I have always been a music person. I have vivid memories of my love for music all throughout my childhood. Most weekends my family would go on adventures around the Island where we lived to check out the amazing natural water sources, pools, caves, and all sorts of natural attractions. The drive was usually far. I don't remember ever dealing with a dead Ipod. I was prepared and in my space with my ipod, singing my little heart out. There were always more songs than drive time. Jojo was a very good singer in my eyes. My younger self loved to try to hit her high notes. I also just love to close my eyes and imagine myself inside the song. Music has always been there for me. Music helps distract and calm me from emotional states I feel less comfortable and happy in. I would suggest music as a fade to get from a negative vibration to a more positive one. I find this method highly effective.
3) Tea:
If you asked me if I drank tea last year I might have laughed at the question. Now tea is much more than not a joke to me, it is a very soothing and relaxing part of my life. Tea is really too big for me to dig into here, but I think it is enough to mention that the world of tea is more diverse and deep than I could have ever imagined. I've spent the summer drinking an harvesting all kinds of tea I've never heard of or seen before. Each and every one has it's own set of health benefits. Drinking a warm cup of tea before bed seems to put my mind at ease. It's one of those comforting things that really helps me bring my life and what I hold close and of value into perspective. I would recommend a herbal tea to anyone brave enough to take the time and be open to the experience. Among excitements for myself in tea world are tea leaf readings. I love these readings and I find them to be a great way to connect with my more intuitive side.

I made this swimsuit coming into the summer season.
Until next time!
