Optimism

Time has taught me that optimism is perhaps not as dependent on life events and what happens to me, but how I chose to look at those things, and grow/learn from them.
A recent flat tire, although time consuming to fix, reminded me of my gratitude to have a car that can get me where I need to be most of the time. Living in the big city would be a truly different experience if not for my car to help me get to the many different areas. Where transit may be practical for central & core areas, my vehicle allows me to venture and explore parts of the city I wouldn't otherwise know existed or hold opportunity for me.
The flat also served as a reminder of how fortunate I am to have such a committed and caring spouse. He spent the weekend helping me get my tires repaired and fixed/ replaced on the car so that I could continue with my current commitments, goals and tasks. It was no small task.
I find myself here at the beginning of a new month, optimistic. I am Grateful for all that is good and all that has helped me grow throughout this past year.
You may notice I've been sharing some of my drawings throughout my recent blogs. Although they may not appear much apart from outlines & fairly simplistic drawings, to me they symbolize much more. My drawing gives me a chance to explore movement on paper, which I've found very helpful in relation to the work I do life modelling. I've also found drawing to be very liberating to my mind. It helps me find my creative zone when I need a break from life's tasks and pressures.
