New Years Eve

2020 is around the corner.

As I set goals and look back on all that has been in the past year I feel both hope & excitement.

I hope I can step outside of my comfort zone and continue to meet and connect with people that inspire & uplift. I'd like to find a few more spaces within the city, close to where I live that I would feel comfortable socializing and interacting within. I think that attending a social event on a regular basis would be really good for my soul.

As much as I've come to enjoy space and alone time over the years, I also crave & enjoy good company. Often times over the past year I can recall feeling alone & not knowing where to go or what to do to ease that feeling. I think it could be really beneficial to have a space I enjoy & know I can retreat to if wanted.

I've fallen out of the habit of taking my laptop out with me to the cafe for a blog.

Perhaps because my favorite laptop past away this year and was replaced by a working but "older"model. Perhaps because often the cafe is too busy for me to sit down and do my work in.

Cafes are quite popular here in the city. Most of the ones I meet at closer to the core are usually flooded with foot traffic from all around.

It would be nice to get back into the habit of going to a cafe from time to time.

Several times over the past year I found myself chatting with the person sitting beside me. Going to a cafe is a great & very simple way to open yourself up. I find them all relatively upbeat & social around these parts.

I hope that I can give myself the opportunity to try some new things in the upcoming year. It would be wonderful to go on an adventure to a new place or be a part of a team sport within the community. I find myself feeling that I'd like to be more involved in my community/city. I'd like to feel more at home here.

I hope I can be brave and allow myself to have wonderfully creative & thoughtful experiences with people who want the same.
