Recap & Reflection Series

Looking back over the month I can recall several fun/creative interactions. Also lots of cruising around the city to my favorite thrifty spots and just trying to take more time to enjoy the city. There are some places I really enjoy. I've also really come to enjoy trying new places with good people.

Recap:

Feb. 01 after work late Saturday evening I attended the "dirty laundry" opening show. I was so glad to be there for my friends Danielle Nicol, Boon Ong, and Kevin Stenhouse. They had several artists preform throughout the opening and as well many artists attended. I was really pleasantly surprised to see so many familiar faces and friends.

Feb. 09 Robin & I enjoyed contemporary calgary together and observed Boon Ongs alternative showing - "Our closets". I'd never been to contemporary Calgary and was really so inspired and just happy to see the beautiful variety of art throughout the space.

Feb. 17 Danielle Nicol and myself had some much needed catch up time and also shot a wonderful collection of fine art photographs, partially inspired by lemons.

I was also able to have a few breakfast outings with friends. Although it may be shorter than most months, I really feel I managed to make the most of it.

Coming into Spring I've been really exciting for gardening out in the backyard. I decided to work within a small greenhouse this year to provide some of the plants with extra care and also just to have a special place where I can observe the growth of the plants into the spring and fall seasons. I've not built it yet because there is still snow in the backyard. Each beautiful sunny day we've been having is bringing it one step closer to being completely melted. Once the snow melts I'm not sure if Ill be able to stop myself from getting out there with it and getting it all set up and ready. I really love spring so much.
