The Good

There has been a warm and wonderful familiarity throughout the past week of change.
It is spring.
The clear blue skies and warmth have filled my heart and reminded me of the oh so familiar feeling of soft rays of sun on my skin.
Although of course the sun still shines bright it in the winter, its chilly gusts of dry crispy wind are much to harsh to stand around in, skin exposed.
but not this past week. The sun has reached the streets and surfaces and the icy backyard ground has begun to blossom into rich, vivid green grass.
I'm hopeful about starting some varieties I've never grown from seed before. Equipped with a small starter greenhouse, It's so exciting to have a place for the seedlings to grow in a space that nurtures their growth by shielding them from wind. My hope will be to transfer most of them into the outdoor space once they grow and mature, making room for another batch of seedlings.
This morning when I'm finished here I'm opening a tab to do some research on different varieties of rock gardens. I have a portion of space outside I like to dedicate to flowers and this year I'd like to do some work on the area before sowing seeds to try and make it more like a rock garden and enrich its visual appeal.
Then it's back outside for me to start the work and once again enjoy the feeling of the warm sun seeping into myself and the nature around me.
