June has been a rainy month.
I haven't noticed in the past years but I certainly have this past season.
It's been good as I know the plants can always use the water.
On the rainy days I've continued with the never ending task of organizing and cleaning the home. I did a closet project early last week that I am quite happy about. I painted the closet interior and installed 2 shelves lining each side of the closet for extra storage. I love the revamp. Keeping things/furniture off the floor is a challenge but something I strive for. I am constantly sweeping, especially in the spring as Penny sheds her old coat with great momentum. It's much easier to clean a space when it is accessible.
I've also started painting the kitchen cupboards. I felt that they were really needing a refresh and I've been craving a high level of cleanliness within the home. I went to Lowes and picked out 3 colors I enjoyed together. I brought them home and started painting that same morning.
I also got my wood cut for the shelving I installed at lowes. I measured the space and then simply took my measurements in with me to the woodworking department. I'm excited to have a few extra shelves that I can install in different areas of the home where fitting.
I've enjoyed the projects, the time flies by and before I know it hours have past.
It's nice to have a fun project on the go while the plants soak up the sun and rain and just grow for a while.
I am really excited for august as I think I will start to see some veggies around that time.
For now, making sure they are watered is my main concern. Apart from that, I simply weed & rearrange flowers coming up in the garden on sunny days.
Of course, a few photos from my garden.
These ones are of our raspberry bush. It's coming up really wonderfully this year.
