The beginning of June swept by so quickly and was so filled with sun and garden time and home projects and organizing that time for writing was not made. As the month continues, there is always more to work on and finish up so that new work can be started. In the midst of it all, writing has become consuming my thoughts more frequently. Looking back on the past few years I've enjoyed having the writings for reference. They help enhance my memory and perspective on the past.

Yesterday was wonderfully warm and very sunny.

The plants really need all the sunny days they can get at this point.

I have been amazed to observe a large selection of vegetables and flowers that I have planted coming up really strong and beautifully.

The garden has definitely been a small heaven to me this season.

Sometimes hours of work isn't even visible to the eye out there. There is so much detail work to be done.

I've enjoyed taking the time to do the extra tedious tasks out there.

I know they need to be done to achieve the point I'm reaching for.

It's quite simple, I'd like more organization between the different varieties of plants so that each variety has it's needed room to grow.

There are hundreds of wild flowers coming up in the garden.

I love them, I just need them to be organized and have their own space to grow to the maximum of their potential.

Yesterday I probably spent close to two hours transplanting little flower seedlings around the garden.

I've been so focused on my work in the backyard that I'd forgotten about the front. On Sunday I took a bit of time ( not enough ) to do some weeding around the stairs out front and try to prep the space for some garden growth. I definitely have enough flowers and herbs to bring to the front. I think it'd really ad some life to the front of the home and it'd be nice to see some color and growth in the space. It's mulched out but nothing can seem to stop the maple tree seedlings from popping up although out from the tree next door. I've weeded about half of them out so once that finished I'll be able to create a clearer vision of how I'll fill the space.

It's a fun new project and with their being so many seedlings coming up in the back it seems like a sort of solution.

I walked around the yard over the weekend and took some photos of some of the amazing growth happening in the back right now.

Also, it was so interesting, on Sunday I was weeding away when out of nowhere a cute little black cat with no collar came through the bushes and right down the garden slope towards me. I extended my arms and offered a warm greeting and the cat plunged its body into my hands like an old friend. It took sometime to explore the garden and yard. It even poked it's head inside the door and checked out the kitchen.

I was amazed that Penny did not pick up it's scent ( she was sleeping inside ).

Before long it was on it's way again. I accepted the pleasant surprise without imposing too many questions.

The cat seemed to love my garden, maybe it will come back and visit again.

Here are a few photos of the garden and one of the mysterious kitten at the bottom.

"Forget me not's" brought back from BC 2 years ago have tripled in growth and have been beautiful blossom for 2 weeks now!

Mike trimmed the back hedges and the back corner lilac is more easy to observe and enjoy than ever!

I'm proud of these sunflowers. I sowed them from seed.

The chives have also been in blossom for a few weeks now. It's a beautiful process.
