End August

I am filled with relief as I have things set up enough on my new laptop to do my first blog.

Life is so curious. I found a spot at my local coffee shop where I could sit down and write a few words before I'm due to get a few more things ready for people to pick up from kijiji ads I've been posting.

In the chairs just across from me are two women a few decades ahead of me in their life journeys. How fascinating it is to hear the conversation. Is there anything as sweet as a calm and gentle banter and reflection on life between friends? I hope that if I live to be in my 80's I dream of friendships like the one I've been sitting and observing.

I'd hoped to get here sooner and have more words written. Instead I spent extra time picking up and folding shirts, sorting them into their according piles; old/garbage, give away/ and keep piles. Hours fly by when I get into my organizing. Since all piles have been sorted, my next step is to distribute the give away piles. I posted images of the items on my kijiji page and sourced people to pick them up, From here, I will head to marda loop to put these things out on the porch. As I get the overwhelming excess out of the way I can see the true potential of many of the items I have been collecting and adding to my own.

The sorting process is slow, but with every step, I feel I'm getting close to the place I'd like to be. I feel lighter removing things that no longer have purpose in my life.

Tomorrow is exciting because Bob and I have planned some creative time. Creative time has always been a huge source of rejuvenation for me and I enjoy the process. if the weather is half as nice tomorrow as it was today, we will be set.

As I continue to get my computer set up I find myself feeling more organized and set up already. Its excited to feel that way and I'm hoping it will enable me to be able to share more of the projects I've been working away on with some of my dearest friends over this past summer.
