It's an unbelievable time to be alive.
I come here to write but so often find myself gravitated towards other thoughts and tasks once I get here. The internet can feel so deep and endless sometimes.
These feelings could of course be related to all the changes I have been experiencing lately.
Each day fills so full of opportunity and adventure since venturing out into my own space this past August. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this here before but it's a big change I'm still processing in several different ways so it is likely the subject may keep coming up for a while.
It's been exciting and relaxing to get familiar and spend more time just with and by myself.
There are so many things I enjoy spending my time doing that is a matter of often writing them down and deciding which ones I'd like to focus on which day.
Today I feel the need do some mindful stretching and movements. I feel the changes of the recent days in my body and I know taking the time to release some of that tension will do me a world of good. I think most of the changes are coming to light as the weather cools. I feel the crisp wind and as much as I love how refreshing they are on my lips, they nip at my skin and hands chilling my body at a very rapid momentum.
I think being prepared will be a big help to me. I should get the gloves and toques out, it appears that time of year is coming. At 6 degrees this morning I've already gotten back into the momentum of double pants and double socks. It's life in Calgary. I think I'm finally adapting ;)
Lana Del Rey is the soundtrack of my life lately, in the car, at the coffee shop, relaxing at the house. I find her music the perfect mix of calming and enjoyable and also highly inspiring.
I am so grateful for a day of no plans just to catch up and relax. Tomorrow I will be back to shooting. Norman and I have planned a trip and fine art concept.
Last night Keith Springall and I did some shooting as well. They are reference for photos for upcoming work. It was very fun and exciting to work with Keith and also see Brian Batista after months of not being able to see either of them due to Pandemic Guidelines. We had a lot of really uplifting and fun conversations, a lot of laughter and smiles were exchanged and shared.
I am getting more into the routine of downloading my photos and videos here to my laptop and as that happens it is once again convenient for me to share recent photos. Today I've chosen a few photos from a shoot with Danielle Nicol a month or two ago. She has been a wonderful friend to me throughout the years and it is always my pleasure to co-create with her!
