Creative Writing

It's 8:49 on the 15th of February.
I'm tired and ready for bed but I feel the words stirring within and I wanted to give myself a chance to write some of them out.
Writing isn't as simple and straight forward as it once was for me. Lately I find myself searching for metaphors and somewhat coded ways to express how I feel.
The dialogue online has been long changing and I have observed many learn to express themselves in new and abstract ways, very differently compared to different content I've observed in the past.
Part of this observation process has inspired me to think outside the box in regards to communication and thought sharing.
Just for fun, and as an a means of creative self expression, I've decided to resort back to my old friend Poetry:
I wrote the below poem in inspiration and retrospective of a quote I appreciate:
"I have been bent & broken, but I hope into a better shape".
There is a strong sense of hope inside me
it runs deep
Beside the blood inside my veins,
deeper than the secrets my soul keeps
A hope that fuels my days
and a hope that sparks my dreams
A hope that reminds me life can be much more,
beyond what it may sometimes seem
Once just a small, fragile seed of hope
Over time
It grew
It knew
its own power
it turned into a flower
and with each petal it grew and nurtured it's own free will
and continued to blossom still
with each season that passes, the hope manifests and grows
subtle yet powerful, presenting itself when the eye allows it to show
These "forget me nots" are from my garden last year.

Wonderful!
