Fall & Festivities

October has past by with a quick momentum.
I gaze out the front window in wonder at the idea that we've barely had a snowfall so far this season.
I feel as though words cannot describe the beauty of the season in it's passing.
It's nice to take the time to sit down and do some writing here.
Most of my writing in the days past has been from pen to paper.
Making lists to help me remember tasks and ideas that come to mind throughout the day has been a great resource and very interesting text to look back on.
As the cooler weather sweeps in, I have taken a break from focusing on art for a moment, and have been prioritizing in preparing for winter.
After years living in a country without seasons, sometimes I still forget how quickly the seasons can change.
Each day I take more steps to get things organized and prepared for the winter that is coming.
The house is filled with warmth and I can feel the holiday feelings.
Samhain has gained great importance and relevance to me over the past few years. It tends to become a part of me more with each season that passes.
I appreciate the holiday and the opportunity it brings to reflect in so many ways.
I spent just a small portion of time looking through some photos taken around this time last year.
This is self portraiture, of a sort.
I enjoyed the grainy texture that comes from the darkness, as well as the essence of the red light.
I don't believe I've shared much of this in the past.
I figured I would share some today.

Perfect! The photos & the thoughts
