April came and went in what felt like a blink of an eye.
The lists of do's and dones trailing from this month into next is ongoing, and lengthy.
In a retrospective, and with the opportunity, its a good feeling to look over the months ongoings and events.
As the photos revealed in my last post, I have been indulging in the art of crochet frequently.
With a few birthdays coming up within the family over the month of May, I wanted to be sure to have some gifts made for the celebrations in a timely matter.
I'm well on my way and still finalizing ideas as the days past.
It's been a great feeling to see the yarn evolve in different ways, into different objects, conceptualized by me, for different people.
I love the process.
It's been such a fun way for me to keep my hands busy, in particular since the new year.
I had a really nice bake day last week as well.
It's a process to schedule all the things I want to do within a week.
7 days tend to fly by.
Week and week again.
It does feel like, slowly but surely, I get there.
Tomorrow morning holds great potential for some time for baking.
Last week I also had a wonderful day of plant care and propagating.
I do try to water/mist the plants once a week, but propagating I do not do as frequently.
Sometimes it takes hours.
I absolutely love it and the whole process.
I have a few plants that need the propagating, sooner than later., and I have others that I know will need it again within the upcoming months.
I have a few plants that really take off and multiply during this season.
It's wondrous.
It's been beautiful to observe the way things have been growing inside this spring.
It's been my pleasure to participate and be a part of multiple artistic works/projects/sessions this month.
It has been a familiar and encouraging feeling to be engaging in these activities more over the past weeks and months.
I hope the weather will continue to warm so that concepts and projects with an outdoor focus can continue with momentum.
Zoey continues to grow so much, physically and mentally.
She's a smarty.
I love that she's here and this is her home.
Additively, the kids and I have formed a sort of habit of painting together.
When we are all in the same time and place collectively, we tend to gather around the table for some paint time.
My thing right now, as I may have talked about already, is tones, textures, and layers.
I've made a few for around the house and I'm currently working on a few for friends and family as well.
I find applying the colors to the canvas to be a very soothing and relaxing process.
This past week I've attempted to work on a layer of at least one each day.
Below are a few photos I took at the park a few evenings ago.
Vic and I met there to shoot.
I find it mesmerizing.
It was refreshing to walkabout and honour/appreciate mother nature.
The cloudy skies gave the park a special feeling and ambiance.
I was once again reminded of how important time with nature is to me.
